Where should i buy my skis?

hey ns im buying new skis this year. i usaually buy them from the local shop but i want to look online.

post some legiit good places to buy skis +k for help

Whereever you can find the best deal. If you can't find a big difference online just buy them at a shop. When they come out search them on google shopping.

Either your local shop or but skis directly from a small company, such as liberty, on3p, ninthward, moment, and just cut out the middle man

Backcountry.com (or one of their derivatives) always good service, always upgraded 2 day shipping... can return it no matter what no matter how long you've had it. Cant beat it.

I support my local shop by buying boots, mounting skis, and getting major repairs/tune ups done.

Always look local, when it comes to warranty etc. it will be easier to handle things, but there are some good deals at the online shop I started, depending on what you want...

LOCAL SHOP. PERIOD.

You're going to have to get them mounted anyway... usually shops will make sure to give you priority mounting (like, get it to you sooner, rather than later - no waiting a week to get your shit), or will give you a discount on the shopwork if you buy it there to begin with...

But seriosly. Even though the better deals are usually online and usually involve free shipping if you spend enough money, a shop will actually take care of the whole process. I'm not sure how many shops do this but mine mounts skis for free if you get the skis and bindings there and usually tunes them and fixes bases for free for a year or so. I bought my bindings online last year but got my skis there and they still mounted for free.
Maybe its just because the area I'm in isnt exactly filled with skiers but I've been going to the same shop since I started skiing and the manager will give me some pretty sweet discounts. I got 160 bucks off my bindings a few years back and when they stopped carring oakley they gave me a pair of wisdoms with the crowbars I had gotten for half off. Theres definately plenty of benefit to buying from a local shop. Even if they dont have the exact ski you're looking for they can still order the ski or get you a ski thats pretty similar.

If you absolutely have to buy online I would go getboards. I've had a lot of good experiances with them. Plus theyre a local shop, just in mammoth lakes, CA. haha. If your shop has a rep for a company you're looking into that still has demo skis from last year theres no harm in asking if you can buy a pair of them. Demo skis are usually pretty lightly used too because the reps are hesitant even to let you hit boxes on them. I got TNKs for 200 bucks from my rep but the shop screwed up when they were mounting them so I ended up with brand new ones. haha.
