hi, I just bought my first pair of line 166 Line Afterbangs. I need bindings and boots as well so i could use some help on which boots i should buy or how much i should spend for being a newbie
Well you want good boots, if you dont have a boot that fits right your season will not be that tight. Bindings- dont get too shitty bindings cause then you will be always popping out of your skis. Spend $100 on bindings. And any amount necessary for boots.
well I woulda saved the bucks and gone and spent less than 50 bucks on a full setup for my first times skiing cause it really won't make a difference whether you have a 500 dollar pair of brand new skis or a 10 dollar pair from the Salvation Army
boots that fit is all the difference for most people, go to a boot fitter and remember that they will become a little bigger after some time skiing.
and welcome to NS!
the looser you are in your skis, the less control you will have... While savings ze money can be important, you are going to be much safer in a boot that fits... (plus growing into boots takes longer than you would think, cuz the liners get packed out and the boot fits larger.)
listen to the other guy, the liners get compressed and a 27.5 will probably fit more like a 28 at the end of the season (if you ski a decent amount), and that means you will have perfect fitting boots for two seasons ;)
my advice to you personally, go to a legit shop and have them help you out
especially for boots, don't look at the price tag, if it fits, it's good, and if its a 500$ instead of a 300$ boot, you won't regret it, boots are just too important ....
