The new Apache Helicopters used in the War with Iraq have helmet's with a drop down eyepiece that laser-guides a .50 Caliber Gattling Gun under the cockpit. (The bullets aren't laser guided, but the gun is). The Pilot just has to look at the target, pull the trigger, and...

^you make a good point, we're not given any information about why these people were targeted. having said that, it is sickening how routine it all is. I think its incredibly sad how war turns people into killers. these soldiers aren't the ones to blame, they were given orders to do it, and they had to. think about it, if you knew you had to kill someone, if it was your job to do it, would you be able to go through with it if you thought about who the person was? if you thought of him as having a wife and kids and a family? i hate that the US government has turned so many people into killers.

the eyepiece intergrated helmets linked to machine guns arent new.

and yeah, this was just a small clip, none of us know all the information that goes along with it, but yeah, i do agree, it does seem a little routine, but it is a job, and for all you know, those guys may have taken another apache out with an RPG, and the two guys in that chopper were the gunners best friends. but it could just be 2 random guys 'suspected' of doing something.

actually it was a bunch of farmers and yes it is a war crime

ill try to find the link from AP with the description. notice how they are kinda standing around not doing anything? if i was a 'terrorist' and there was an apache mother fucking helicopter hovering some 100 feet away i wouldnt just be standing around. think about it.

The guy ran and planted a fucking RPG in the goddamn field. Do you think they did that for nothing? Assuming this is in Iraq or Afghanistan it is a very hostile area. Also we had a helicopter shot down in Iraq a few months back I believe. Most likely from an RPG just like that one that was thrown in the field. They are preventing more US soldiers getting killed. And some of you say 'no remorse' and I will repeat what the individual said above me that you can't have remorse situations like these or the job never gets done.

how do you know they were defenless farmers, has it been proven, is there an article?

It seems by the seed of the bullets that the helicopter was within hearing range of the people on the ground, if these guys where famers, and they heard an apache helicopter hovering somewhere, (this was probibly at nightime) I would not be fucking around running places with stuff in my hands.

war is war. you cannot think of it as just plain old killing. I know tons of people who think of war as just a way to kill people and thats it. Thats not ture, war has rules. Look it up on the net since everyone spends so much time on here anyways. Like those seize fire days they talk about, thats a rule. and look what those f**kers did, they shot a whole bunch of american troops on a sieze fire day. what are we supposed to do? say ohj well they must not have gotten the memo! screw that. Im from canada, and I think they should pull the troops out now, and just start dropping napalm. kill as many as possible. women, children, it doesnt matter. and i know a bunch are gonna say some sh*t about kids and women, but really, if some guys wife is gonna stand there and pass him amo to reload with, and then his kid is going to run out and beat the americans or canadians that lay injured in the field to death. then they are all part of war. announce now that we are going to blow everyone up, and whomever does not want to be blown up will try to flee their country or at leas tthat area. those that wanna kill americans and stay, well they will die. And really I dont care. I know all our troops fight for a reason, and lots die. Although its war, its sad to hear about that. Still, I hold no mercy for a country that believes its a gift to kill an american, and then it is also a gift to get killed yourself cause you will go to a better place and be rewarded for what you did. And hell, if they arent gonna stick with the times and revolutionize their country, whats the point in having them to keep screwing up all the awsome things we have created? Like crashing a plane into the WTC's. they were cool buildings, i never got too see them in person, but were an engineering wonder. That country has, what, nothing. well i guess they have sandles, stone houses, rags for clothes. maybe if they tried to do soething other then always trying to kill americans and canadians, we wouldnt have to do some extreme population terrorist control. I dont know if this makes sense at all, its just all the thoughts that popped into my head at once and typed as fast as possible.

Hey kids, ever heard of this crazy thing called war...yeah what alot of people don't know is alot of people die during that shit, and the majority of them aren't soldiers with gun's and uniforms. The biggest problem with guerilla wars like Vietnam and the one in Iraq right now is no one knows who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. The 15 year old kid who waves at you as you drive by in your humvee in the day is the same one who walkes behind a building after you drive by, grabs an RPG and blows you up when you stop your convoy to ration out supplies, or run a checkpoint or something.
There are no good guys in war there are no bad guys in war, it just sucks. That's all there is to it, in the end staying alive and keeping your buddies alive is all that matters.

TO all the kids who are all shocked that the chopper gunner is showing no remorse, you need to think before you talk. If you felt bad gunning down innocent people you would kill yourself your first day in a combat area. Get your heads out of your asses, and to whoever posted this, why don't you post the video of a pregnant Iraqi woman pretending she is going into labor at a checkpoint so that soldiers come to help her and then blowing herself and two other GIs up while injuring numerous others. Where is that video, or does it not have the same impact when the soldiers are doing the dying?

It hurts when soldiers die too...think about it, it might do you some good.
