the HDR shot looks very "HDR played-out" style....and lacks some detail in the trees around the side..might be hard to mask in the details there in PS

shoot at a very high contrast and then drop the contrast in post turning into this

Alright. May someone clue me in on how to do that??

The only thing I can think of right now would be like?!? Three cameras? all different exposures??
