Scott Pilgrim vs The World

Just saw this movie last night. TBH, i was blown away. The action is top notch, humor is awesome and the story is just so good. Its based off a comic book, and to me it feels like the first comic book to movie ive seen done right.

Usually I don't like Michael Cera but he really kills it as Scott Pilgrim. The girl who played Ramona Flowers is pretty hot too.

Its entirely shot in toronto, i've even been to one of the concert venues.

If you liked Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. And also enjoy movies with a ton of pop culture references done right, go see this!

but if people keep on giving it good reviews and i hear good things, im going to have to go watch it. michael cera just really grinds my gears. i saw youth in revolt the other day and it was such a bland movie... i really don't think im going to like anything more he does... although to give him credit he was awesome in Arrested Development.

except he's so badass in this movie that when he punches you, you explode into coins!

seriously though, he preforms really well in this movie. not the awkward teen eg: superbad. he's actually kind of a douche in this one too

the movie is kind of like this..

in a musical when emotion is too strong, people break into song...but in here they break into awesome video game inspired fights. you can't go wrong there.

i was pretty skeptical before watching the movie because the character in the books is NOT sketchy or awkward, Hes actually very animated and spontaneous.

And Cera actually pulls it off

I thought it was awesome. the best part is at the end when theyre like 'now you have to fight nega-scott' and youre like fuck please not this. then they become friends and start talking haha.
Just such a different movie, and there wasnt a long, depressing part like in most movies. id give it a 9/10

Never said they were. I'm just saying that actors tend to get stuck in a genre or maybe they choose to stick with one because it's their forte. Who knows.

This movie looks so fucking gay. The humor in the trailer makes me want to shoot myself. "I'll leave you alone forever now." "are you waiting for the package you just bought? maybe..." And it seems way too fast paced like it's meant for people with severe ADHD. Fuuuck that.

Just watched that movie at a drive in. That movie was one of the greatest movies ever. so funny and great video game refrences.

Just hilarious i seriously recommend this movie.

I was digging the vibe i got when i saw this movie, im not a big fan of the general role of the awkward teen that micheal cera generally portrays in movies, but i was pretty blown away, it was really well cast and honestly i thought ramona was hott... id rawdog it
