when people like that jet blue attendant are celebrated as heroes for being a giant pussy and no work ethic. honestly, who looks up to some dude who not only quits a job because of a minor problem, but does it in a way that makes him look like the biggest bitch ever? some people see the way he quit as bad ass but reality its like watching a spoiled brat having a temper tantrum. its your fucking job and you get paid to do it. be fucking grateful that you got it. if anything guys like that should be shunned, if not excommunicated from society all together for being such a shit bag.

you only see the worst parts of america because the best parts are not very entertaining to talk about.

america is such a new country. without getting into the history before the white man showed up to the continent - america as a nation is roughly only 300 years old. if anything america isnt dying, its growing at a pace too fast for anyone to keep up with it. the problem is that no one knows how to take care of this "child". i was thinking about this the other day. if you forget about the bad notions surrounding america right now as far as politics and what not, america is the most powerful nation in the world because it has the greatest potential to change the way things happen on a world scale.
problem is, we're fuckin up right now.

2-Is the question the attendant is tired of taking shit from the man without question so he quits, or is he a pussy for giving into the man for taking shit from customers?

I worked on a ferry as an engineer and I hear horror stories about mess people do. A guy took a shit in a shower and the attendants had to pick it up without complaining to the customer or to the company that hired her. Sure its a job and you gotta do what you gotta do, but no one should have to pick up shit from another person when there is a health code involved on ships. I hope you get the point. Everyone has a breaking point.

1. farmers are doing much better because of the cost of soy beans, corn, wheat, etc (increasing....)
2. commercial real estate bust - so there was the housing bubble, and a huge inventory of vacant houses people couldn't afford. Now there are more outlet malls and shit with vacant property and no businesses to go in them.

Roads that used to have a business from "end to end" with few empty spaces if you will; now have a "take your pick, we have tons of commercial real estate available" atmosphere.

Have you worked in the service industry before? I'd rather back that flight attendant than support the douche noodle who thought he was special and didn't have to play by the rules. The flight attendant no longer wanted to be disrespected and I totally support someone who doesn't want to be treated like shit. This story is more about taking a stand for your own dignity than about being childish. Does it have consequences? Yes. But it also serves as a wake-up call to not treat your fellow human beings as if they were dispensable and solely a means to an end.

If I had to pick between the two options of not being disrespected anymore or to be continually disrespected, I hope everyone would agree with me and chose to not be disrespected. Now as far as this guy goes, he definitely when out in a blaze of glory, and that's why people love him and why everyone is talking about it.

Was his exit completely dignified? Maybe not. Was it justified? Absolutely. Was it awesome? Totally.
