Last season I skied on the worst boots in history: Technica (excuse spelling) Agent 85's. They gave me the worst shinbang all winter long and I have luckily grown out of them. And all I want is a nice park boot that won't give me shin bang. I've had a great experience with Salomon SPK's and am choosing between those and Full Tilt's? Suggestions?
i was using shitty rental boots for the beginning of last season and then bought a pair of ft hot doggers and it was the best decision ive made since trying skiing
Thats funny, because i have those same boots and i love them, i occasionally get shin bang when i land front seat a lot, but after i get it it goes away in about a week and i don't get it again for the rest of the season...
im in a similar position my local bootfitter ( who is well respected) told me only the ace of spades would work for my foot.. but they're so damn expensive ! not to mention i need new skis and bindings
they hate because they have different kinds of feet than you do. everyone has a different kind of foot, that is why boot fitters are essential to pairing people with the right boot for thier foot
this is the best boot for you. If you narrow your search down to SPKs and FTs, you not only have abbreviations for boots but two polar opposite fits that don't really go together.
the biggest difference between a park boot and non-park boot is really just the amount of shock absorption built into the liner, the shells are often the same thing as some other boot in company's line. while shock absorption is important, how well the the boot fits you is the ultimate winner. if a non-park boot fits you better, go with it rather than a park boot that almost fits you.
I don't understand how kids can decide which boots they want by pictures on the internet. Then they make threads about comparing their findings and the boots are completely different types. They still buy them anyway and then 3 weeks later make threads about how their boots suck. Please do some research or something.
