phoenix will pick him up...gretzky is a martin fan. and rick bowness sucked it up during his brief stint there.

as for the sens...they didnt NEED to make a coaching change, but i think that it was a good move nonetheless. the only major coaching figure they kept is perry pearn, who runs the # 1 powerplay in the league, so good call on that. as for the rest of the coaches, now that they are gone, the team has a chance to freely adapt to their own playing style under new coaches, and i think this will benefit the sens.

how so? They had the best point differential of ANY TEAM. The only reason why they didnt win very many games was because of the person in my sig.

Jacques Martin did a great job; they would have won againts Toronto had Lalime saved the TWO EASY SHOTS FROM THE SAME GUY FROM THE SAME ANGLE. The sens deserved to win... bad call.

the ottawa senator's head coach.

and petek, even though ottawa's goal differential was the only to be over 100 goals, martin still had the sens play an eastern conference, boring dump and chase style.

clearly, our players are more suited to a wide open western conference style, so if another coach can realize that, our team can improve even more.
