Salt > Inception

I would like to start off by saying that both were great movies and both had flaws but I truly believe that Salt was a far greater movie then inception.

First of all inception did not have a single hot girl and Salt had one of the hottest girls to walk the face of the earth. For example.

Second of all Inceptions story line was far too confusing and hard to follow. Half of the movie I had no clue what was going on. During Inception I often found myself confused at the purpose of the brain surgery that they were performing. Salts story line on the other hand was action packed and full of exciting twists and turns.

Third, there was only one gun fight in all of Inception. All of Salt was filled with guns! How cool is that?

Fourth, Inception was slow and it took far to long for the characters to finally get to heaven so that they could rescue his children. Most of the first hour was not even necessary to the story line and was just artsy filler to give it a better chance at winning an Oscar.

It is hard to compare any movie to Salt because of how creative and exciting it truly was. I know that NS loves Inception so I might get some hate but if you saw Salt and have any taste in decent movies you will agree with me.

from your description of inception it is pretty clear that you didn't understand the movie at all and got nothing out of it. it wasn't really that difficult to follow, you just had to pay attention. I haven't seen salt but i thought inception was amazing.

if inception confuses you, you probably have the attention span of a 6 year old. I don't think i've ever seen a movie that has such a complex idea that they carefully laid out, and fully explained to you throughout the entire film.

but i haven't seen salt, so i can't compare.

You are one of the most simple people I've ever met. Saying one movie is  better than the other because of a 40 year old Milf? Get the fuck out. Yes there were gunfights in Inception? there were more than one! The hell? Did you even watch the whole movie?

I understood the movie fully. I just don't feel like it should be acclaimed as much as it is. My description accurately portrayed what I got out of it.

I truly believe that I am smart enough to follow this movie. With an IQ of 133 I feel like I am smart enough to follow any movie but when it has a boring plot I don't feel the need to follow it.

It's like me saying that I went and saw Salt, but got bored, stopped paying attention, and left early. So it was the worst movie ever made from what i could tell.

didn't see salt, but from the previews and trailers it just looks like another shitty action/spy movie.


inception was truly amazing. most original plot and idea i have ever seen. It blew me away.

FYI, most truly great movies are somewhat hard to quite hard to follow. that's what makes them so great. When you leave the theater, you're thinking "wtf just happened?" and then when you think about it for a good 5-10 minutes you realize what happened and how truly great the movie was.

Examples: Shutter Island, Inception, Snatch, The Usual Suspects (incredible movie), Shawshank, Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Goodfellas, Michael Clayton (extremely hard to follow), Trainspotting, Silence of the Lambs, and so forth.

We're not talking about blockbusters here made for the average minded simpleton Americans. These films are made to stimulate the mind and tell an amazing story. Not just throw some fancy effects on the screen to ooh and ahh random retards.

I have seen most of those movies that you listed and none really blew me away except shawshank.

My two favourite movies (Titanic and The sound of Music)were incredible because of the very original and easy to follow story lines.

I had the pleasure of being able to see both Salt and Inception
I did not have very high expectations of Salt going into the movie
I loved Inception and thought it was a pretty amazing and crazy mindbender
Salt however was better then I had expected which was nice to say the least
Overall after seeing both of the movies I would have to disagree and say that Inception was better
just my own personal opinion

Well then i suggest you watch every single one of those movies and starting learning what the distinction between a good movie and great movie is before you start blasting actual great movies like Inception.

I never ever blasted it. The first line said that they are both great movies. Inception just had some flaws and salt did not.

I don't know about you guys but I think Ellen Page is actually pretty cute. Haven't seen salt, but I actually prefer Ellen, no offense or anything. I guess I'll have to see Salt and see what all this hype is about.

Nothing compares to Godfather I in my opinion. Not even Shawshank.

I put Inception in that list, because the idea was so original it rattled me. I think Inception and Shutter Island are 2010's best movies. Not saying much because great movies nowadays are far and few between.
