And what about all those people who see the recut and don't know where the footage came from? Those filmers spent a whole hell of a lot more time making that edit happen than this kid did. And now it takes digging through a thread and reading to the bottom of the comments to realize they even had a part in it.

Well, I don't know who's getting paid or not, but some of those edits are for the promotion of specific companies, and even if there isn't money given out, if the edit is branded in any way for promotion you're walking pretty close to the line (if not over it) when it comes to copyright law.

I mean, I'm not calling anyone out for not getting rights. All I'm saying is that it's pretty hard to get mad at someone for taking something you have done and playing with it for fun, then showing people for free.

funny i was watching this, and thinking, man i wish i still knew how to ski park, that looks really fun! hes got great style and the film quality was great. and i never would have seen this if it wasn't remixed.
