it sort of is a problem... both evan and i can choose to not allow our footage to be downloaded. I do it for the sake of all of you guys wanting to watch skiing when maybe you dont have interent around. i dont do it so kids like you can chop up my footage to shitty songs and bad editing.

kids like you are why others wont beable to download footage of their favorite skiers in the future.

im certainly not angry, i just think its slightly disrespectful to take other peoples hard work and ruin it by doing a shitty job re-editing it.

and i will continue to allows others to download my footage as long as it doesnt get abused.

Oh, I do too, especially when zero credit is given to the people who filmed and edited the footage. I just think the PC edits you guys put out are awesome, I wouldn't want to see them get restricted.

paul dont you think thats a bit harsh? your calling snoop shitty music? thats a bit of a long stretch. and shitty, editing... he did pretty alright i thought, some cool time remaps and the sorts in there. instead of getting down on the guy why not stoked for the fact that he choose your footage almost exclusively to go to. and check out how people are so happy about it. fuck it, everyone knows its your stuff he used its just more exposure. way to go on the re edit, i thought it was sick. people asked and someone delivered, its always going to happen.

First of all - OP, you should take this down, and embed a credit for E Heath and Paul into your edit.

Second - Who has listened to girl talk here and liked it? It's a remix. He's not doing it for money, he's not doing it for fame or self-promotion (indirectly for money), he's doing it because he thought it was good filming, and someone was going to want to watch the filming.

Before anyone gets upset over this remix of footage, I would like to ask how many of the songs that are used for E-Heaths or Paul's edits rights are attained for? Because it could be argued that the artists might not like you taking their work and re-arranging it to promote a sport they have nothing to do with.

I don't think that the kid did anything wrong. If the kid was offering this for a .99 cent download on iTunes, then i'd get pissed, or claimed "an edit by (insert "production company" name here) productions" I'd get pissed. Otherwise I don't see what's wrong with it.

I'm glad someone here isn't an self centered asshole. It's not like the OP is trying to do anything but share the footage, so why the fuck would you get mad? I shoot a ton of video and I'd be honored if someone took the time to re-edit it and post it. Granted, a shout out to where he got it from would be the best idea, but so what if he didn't? It's not like he's going to win anything or get paid from this...
