So im considering either going to CU Boulder or Colorado mtn college at Break (& varrious places in utah-but that doesn't pertain to this thread)for the spring semester.. I have decided that i don't want to go to CU b/c of a few reasons - mainly that i dont want to deal with the long ass drive.. SO what im asking is - what do you all know about the Colorado Mountain Colleges? & more specifically the one at Breck. Tell me anything you know! I only plan to attend for the spring semester because i have other places i want to go so im not planning to graduate from there- just want to come and ski for a semester and take some classes while having fun! Thanks.
CMC is the community college of the rockies lol. not a whole lot of education going on but you can say you went to "school" and got to ski a lot which sounds like thats all you want to do.
have fun.
CU and CMC have absolutely no similarities in comparison. CU is an educational institution. CMC is a play school.
CMC is a good place to get some classwork done while you can still ski. Many of their courses easily transfer to other more established colorado institutions. Just be careful, you may never be able to get the "ski bug" out of your system...haha
its a community college, you can get out of it what you want. Over half the classes are guaranteed to transfer to 4 year schools in colorado, so you can get those out of the way while skiing a lot if you're plan is to go to a 4 year eventually.
I really appreciate the info, and yes, i only want to go during the winter(spring, whatever) semester just to ski a lot and take some classes so i don't get completely out of the swing of things with school & it would make the parentals happy. Thanks a ton for the info guys!
