Amateur and Pro Video Categories?

I searchbarred but this is probably still a repost. As much as I love watching a Tom Wallisch or Windells edit, I also like to watch other amateurs who kill. Not a lot of kids get recognized because they can't get to the top rated section or are quickly replaced by other kids or pros. I think it might be a good idea to make separate categories for these videos while keeping top rated, which would combine them. It would also reduce the kids posting their sponsorship edits or season edits in SG hoping to get noticed. Thoughts?

it's been discussed and yes, it's a good idea.
but where do you draw the line between pro and amateur?

I guess the easiest would be blue/pink and orange names. But then again people post other people's edits. I guess it's just up to the people who upload the video to decide and if the mods disagree than they could move it.

there is already enough moderating that needs to be done in the forums.
the video/picture section is one of the few places on NS that actually stays (decently) clean on its own.

I guess since no one would take the time to upload a troll video
But that would be a great idea.

nah dont do that. it means so much more when an edit stays up there with all the sick edits coming out. remember any pro filmers are saving there A footy for a movie anyway, so its all b-roll. its been discussed many times before and its always been turned down by bishop or someone else

plus it's sweet to see the am stuff make its way to the top of the list even with all the pro stuff there as well

After seeing some of the responses I guess I do kinda agree that it's cool to see how well AM videos do against pro videos. But not all pro stuff is b-footy. ex. Summer Camps
All times are Eastern (-5)
