Armada 2011 skis are out! wondering if people know anything about the ar7
im debating on getting either the ar7 or the 2010 pipe cleaner what do people recomend for a park rat who likes big air and is not big on rails but still does them
i've tested out the ar7's and own a pair of 2010 pcs and from what i was told the triumphs(thalls) and ar7's are the only skis that have changed. the ar7's were super solid on just about everything. they really pop well on jumps and slide well. the pipe cleaners are a little more slippery than the ar7's so it makes it harder to turn on icy stuff with them, but all in all have a slightly faster base. but ar7's look so sick. i would recoment ar7's cause of price and looks
awsomnes17 when and how did u get to test the ar7 (because thats awsome) and can u tell me which were poppier of jumps what the flexes where like the total weight and swing wieght diferences
ya ur right, sorry i misheard. although triumphs are full twins (my brother demoed them, unless he demoed the t-halls although i am almost positive he demoed triumphs).
really? I think they are far too expensive, but it is the first release wave and a new generational ski, and really? not a fan of the top sheet personally, I really thought they were going to change it from the prototype sheet that we all saw at the end of last year with ar6, but the rebuilt the ski, named it ar7 and kept the same print - ssswweeeetttt bases though. and I like the slanted sidewalls.
I've tested them all the ar7 has a flex pattern of tip 6, waist 8, tail 7. The t-hall tip 5, waist 8, tail 5.5, both have the ar50 sidewall that is on the alpha 1. The triumph is a directional all mountain ski it has the ar50 sidewall with a layer of titanal, the tail is rounded and is raised only slightly.
The new Armada AR7 is straight up sickkkk. The graphics are rad and crazy on both the top sheet and the base. The new 2011 AR 7 is a bit wider than the AR6 was and it has been re-done with a new, super lightweight sidewall which will help by lowering your overall swing weight.
The AR7 is definitely for your park rat with a stiffer flex and positive camber. We should be getting this bad Larry in within a few days which I'm pumped about.
