Where to study abroad?

Thinking about studying abroad in europe and hopefully skiing while there. Any one know any dope cities other than the common ones like Paris, Geneve etc. To go to. My school will let me go practically anywhere as long as I can come up with a program so anywhere that is either French or English speaking would be sweet.

ski the alps!!!  one city that comes to mind is torino, remember the winter olympics was held there a couple years ago

What's more important, the skiing or the studying?

Despite my biases, British Universities are undoubtedly better than those of any other European country, and you can ski here all year round too (see sig), and be in the Alps within 6 or so hours during Winter.

If you're looking for good mainland Euro unis, then the University of Geneva is French speaking and about 1 hour away from the Alps, and Universite Paris IV (The Sorbonne)and Sciences Po (if you're a Soc Sci major) are roughly 6 hours from the Alps.

Otherwise, the University of Lyon is 2 hours away (although very underfunded)

My friend spent the year studying and shredding the pyrénées in Pau, France he told me it was sick. I know that Konstanz uni in Germany is supposed close to the alpes aswell. Don't go to sweden if you want to ski a lot, i spent the last semester there and it was insane except for the 7-8 hour drive from Stockholm to Are, and there's not much decent park skiing south of Are.

I'm planning on taking the minimum amount of classes and spending as much time as possible soaking up the environment and in the winter skiing. I've been to the sorbonne and its sick. How far is paris from some of the major mountains?

This sounds like a good idea but I went to europe 4 years ago and I went to Interlaken Switzerland it was a dope town and pretty close to skiing.

If you want to ski, Paris is NOT a good choice!!!

Come to Grenoble (France) , "la capital des alpes" as we say here!! Resorts in the area (less than 1hour): Chamrousse, les 7 laux, Alpe d'Huez, les 2 alpes ( one of the best park in Europe with a glacier on in the summer), La Grave (crazy backcountry) ....Lots of young people to shred with, you can get great deal for pass like 10€ per day, buses to access the resort from the campus

Other cities in France not far from the mountains: Toulouse, Lyon, Nice, Marseille

Italy: Torino, Milano

Spain: Barcelona

Switzerland: Lausanne, Geneva (resorts: Saas fee, Zermatt, Les Diableret...)

ive been considering Argentina for a semester, i speak some spanish but will deff need to brush up on it. what are the pros or cons of this idea, Anyone?

LONDON im telling you now you do not want to deal with a language barrier and it is so simple to get any where from london everything is so sick i saw so many shows and went to like 10 countrys over the course of my 6 months there if you ahve any questions message me i can help you out

Definitely a sick idea. I'm in Argentina right now skiing with SASS and its fucking sick! Argentina is a sick place to be studying abroad, great culture and really nice people. Not to mention Cerro Catedral is a dope mountain

1.5 hours from Saas Fee and Jungfrau valley region. I had a bunch of pow days last season. Also in the center of Europe easy to hit all the tourist cities come spring. Pretty decent college town.
