Except you can slide with any wheel. First thing your gonna wanna do is make (or buy) some slide gloves. Get some old random gloves and burn on some old cutting board on the palms. This will allow you to put your hands down while riding and not hurt your hands.
Now its time for the actual slide. Decide which side you want to slide. Do you feel more comfortable putting your forward hand down and sliding out heelside? Or do you feel better putting down both hands and sliding toeside so your chest is facing up the hill?
I prefer toeside so I'll explain that one. First thing is you need to get a decent amount of speed. Too little speed and you wont be able to slide and too much you'll probably freak out and do something wrong since your a beginner(no hate). Once you find the right speed carve heelside(set-up) and then carve really hard toeside while putting both your hands down on the ground in front of you. Swing your back foot out and push it all the way around until it is now the front foot. You have just done a 180 toeside slide!
It takes some practicing but after you get it down its an essential part to going faster and is just plain fun.
Hope this helped!
