As a result of winning, he got to choose this week’s topic (and wrote a great description, thanks!), which is:
Timing
“I did some thinking and came up with "timing." This can mean anything as long as you explain your reasoning behind it. If you are having trouble, here is what I envision (but dont limit yourself to this!). I think that the mark of a good photographer is to nail the technical details of a photo while also capturing that perfect moment that will make the photo pop and stand out in a way that makes it unique. This could be a lightning strike, a touchdown catch in a football game, capturing somebody's facial expression at just the right moment, etc...
Here is an example of what I would consider "timing."
And I think it exhibits timing because this shot really captures the kids determination to beat all the other people in the race. Without this expression, I think the photo wouldn't mean as much, and therefore, the timing added to the quality of the shot.”
