The Best Outerwear

Please NS tell me what the best outerwear is. I need some very technical stuff for I am doing a pretty wild trip next year.

I do not want to here Saga or First Drop or LDC because although you guys might find that stuff hip and cool I know that it is of awful quality and will not help me in my long journey.

This jacket for sure. Its the Jp Auclair Jacket from orage for next year. They have everything thought out from gor-tex to rubber shoulders so when you put your pack on snow doesn't melt and freeze into the fabric on your shoulders, and orage makes a donation to http://www.alpineinitiatives.org/cms/index.php for every jacket sold.

This feels like a troll, but I'll bite in case it is serious. You are basically looking for goretex pro shell or three layer event. Some brands that sell that are arcteryx, westcomb, rab, and the higher end mountain hardware, northface, rei stuff etc.... Just as someone said above... As other have said trew is very solid also, I like their pants. The type of trip is important though. Are you mountaineering, touring, winter camping, heli skiing in Alaska, etc? How you answer this would probably change our answer also...

First of all ldc first drop and saga are not complete garbage. They would do fine on a deep back country trip. You really aren't giving enough information for us at all. Are you going heli skiing or are you hiking for your turns? Just this small piece of info could help us narrow it down because if you're hiking you may want to eliminate trew because of it's weight. Now stop being an elitist and holding this extreme trip over our heads. Our results wont change if you tell us what you're doin.
