Hey guys, I'm heading to Dayton for school this year, and have chosen that I'd want to get a season pass at Mad River. My question is, what is the difference between "The MRM Pass" and "The Platinum Pass?" From what I can tell, the MRM pass is 269, and the Platinum pass is 430, and the only true difference is that with the MRM pass you have to pick up a lift ticket every day, and the Platinum is a traditional walk up and ski pass. Is there any other difference? I don't think 160 dollars is worth not having to wait a maximum of 20-30 minutes to get a lift ticket everyday.
From the site:
Our top of the line pass option features, convenient, unilimited, direct
to the slopes access, and new for this season, unlimited tubing!
The best feature of this pass, is your card is your Lift Ticket... No
scanning equals no waiting at the ticket counter. Why buy all your
passes now? Our early season multiple pass discount program allows you
to enjoy the benefits of the Platinum Pass at the best pice of the
season. Purchase two passes and receive 15% off* your second pass,
purchase three to five passes and receive 30% off* your third, fourth,
and fifth passes.
So it looks like direct to lift and tubing. Def not worth it.
OSU's ski team will be at Mad River this year. Stop by and say hi. Also, you can come on our winter trip to meet some of us before the season gets kicked into high gear. That info will be posted in the forums when it becomes available.
thanks for the interest, any pass is a good pass. the platinum is basically no wait, just gear up and get at it. On the other hand, if grabbing a ticket each time you come isnt an issue, then you prolly made the right call. either way, be ready for big things; you wont be disappointed at all with both the mountain, and Capital PARK. Less than 4 months!!!!!!!!!
This season is going to be sick! I cant wait to see everyone in the park - opening weekend is always one of the best.
Make sure you tell management at MRM how sick the park is - theyve worked their rear ends off this summer building features to ensure we have enough features to play on.
