Anyone have any input on where I should mount my 172 Watchlifes?

I'm 5'7" and 130, ski in NH, usually 75% park but these would be my all-mountain and occasional powder ski. I was thinking maybe -2 but not sure.

Well in that case, you could probably do K2 Domains, Armada AR7, ON3P Jeronimo (that's what I got), or many others.  Just check ski companies sites that have skis between 85 and 100 or so and try to get something that would suit your needs.  Now that I realize you don't want a super playful ski, don't go for the Elizabeths.

Earlier someone told me that i was going to get super wet due to waterproofing if i were to buy first drop. Does it really lack waterproofing that bad?

75% park, go centre. theres 2 extremes, centre or mounted back pretty far. no point being a bitch and going in between, it does nothing.

I thought about putting this in the maintainance thread, but it seems like that doesn't get responded to that quickly. Anyways, I just started waxing my own skis and whenever I scrape, the wax comes off in flakes in some spots. The areas that do this look kind of like air bubbles before the are scraped. After they are scraped they look kind of like shit.

I have a theory that this is caused by using too much wax. Am I correct, or is it something else? Any help is appreciated.

Im no expert, but i dont think its from too much wax. You really dont have a "limit" of too much that you can put on that would do any sort of harm. Maybe youre keeping the iron on the ski in one spot for too long? Thats the only thing i can think of

do spk pros and spks fit the same? I have spk pros and they're just a little too tight around the front of my ankles, and I want to go to SPKs so do they fit the same or should I go a size up? and don't say bootfitter because the closest on with SPKs and other similar boots is about 1.5 hours away and my parents do not want to go out there. thanks

Hi Ns, need some help with getting some skis, I'll try to be as helpfull as possible:

Age: 18
Height: 6"1
Weight: 145lb (i know, super skinny)
Just started doing some freestyle, can do basic rails and 180's, looking for something light, very cheap and specifically park to progress on, not too worried about length and bindings but you can throw in your 2 cents if you want...yeh i guess thats about it.

can anyone point me in the right direction for some good skinny/ slim jacket and pant making companies. i want a real slim jacket, so like a medium or som, but i want it tall, past my ass, so the little brown eye doesnt get cold. i know holden make quality shit, and its real slim, but the jackets aren't very long. and this years standard skinnys look like leather, eww.

westbeach is looking good, the black cut pant and the coal harbour jacket medium and black cut pant medium. but pretty expensive.

anyone got any other good ideas?

special blend mason pant and the circa jacket?

yeah ive been looking at holden. and i will most likey get a pair of there standard skinnys in a large black (heard from everywhere you gotta size up) but still looking for a good slim jacket.

something like he k2 press, afterbang, mastermind any beginner park ski really. Your local shop can probably recommend you some good beginner skis.

yeah exactly what I was going to post. these are good skis for beginner. and go to your local shop, they'll help you. But line or K2 skis are good bets

heyyoooo i'm 5' 9" and 140 lbs i want a ski that can last me a while and im going to be skiing 90- 95% park and the rest all mountain. im in CT so small junps and lots of hiking rails. also i am not to good on cash right now so it has to be around 200 bucks. any reccomendations on a ski?

Because it's easier to actually ski on rather than just skiing park.  You wouln't want a fully symmetrical pow ski, well at least I wouldn't.  I've never owned symettrical skis though, I prefer asymmetrical, but I don't ski too much park.
