Best way to get earbuds to stay in??

Headband or wear your gogs under your helmet and use the strap?

i wear my goggles under the helmet and wear a hat..but it never stays...are you saying put the strap like over my ears pretty much?

buy buds designed for working out so they have a loop to go over your ear

i bought sennheiser cx300 earbuds.

they come with the earbuds. then 3 different sized rubber things that fit over the bud to make it fit your ear just perfect.

maybe you can find some of these on your own. or call sennheiser and ask for them. i asked for a replacement and they sent me some free in the mail.

that is if you can remove them (i lost one once, so that sucked ya know...)

i must say that once you have them fit like that. they never come out, and it becomes so time intensive to get the damn thing out of my ear i just use one bud at any given time and try and get on the side of the lift so that i can hear anyone tryin to yap at me about chads gap.

Skullcandy's fit really well for me, and that is very hard for memo find because I have odd shaped ears.'if that doesn't work, wear a hat or a headband to hold them in

What Factory81 is trying to say is you should get in-ear earphones

The traditional earphones look likes this and are put in your auricle


In-ear phones are a bit thinner (and have a múch better bass).
They look like this and go into your hearing-tube or whatever you call it


Once you put those in you won't hear pretty much nothing from the outside world, so my advice is to put in only ONE, because otherwise it get's dangerous 'cause you don't hear the outside world anymore.

You can get really good ones for 30$+, they always have the 3 different sized buds Factory81 described, the quality is amazing!

PS: Don't get SkullCandy, I know it's "Cool" and everyone has it (and for that matter it isn't cool), but really:

I've had Sennheisers, Sony and Philips in-ears.

Sennheiser is, without a doubt, the leading brand in anything audio, but they're also a bit more expensive.
I paid 50€ for the sennheisers, 30€ for the philips and 25€ for the Sony's. They're also from best to worst in that order (d'uh, that's what the price indicates :P ). I'd go for the Philip's though. The 20€ extra isn't really worth it imo, because the Philips ones are kick-ass as it is. Also you don't want to invest too much in headphones you're taking onto the slopes, cause they might break!

they do make these new headphones that clip onto the bottom of your beanie of ear lobe(pain?)

the clips are like a rubbery plastic so they dont pinch so ill let u know how they feel, they should be arriving weds.

they only go onto your ear cuz the clip faces the same way as the earpiece so it cant hook on to your beanie...unless you hooked it onto the beanie and had the ear piece on the outside of your hat next to your ear...idk if that will work..maybe it will though

i literally pay zero attention to skullcandy other than the fact that you can get all sorts of colors..... I just don't take them seriously as an audio company. If they focused on audio instead of graphics I might pick up a pair and listen to them for once.

So hell, for all I know skullcandy kicks sennheisers ass.

But yeah the real deal is, buy headphones from a company who specializes in acoustic engineering and making the best fucking shit you can get!

Sennheiser is a name that pop in to your head, although there are other brands for sure, but the cx300 headphones have been found in amazon.com brand new for as low as $17.99 i want to say (and they retail for yeah $30+-).

JUST BUY THESE. I own these. they come with multiple sized ear plugs that like we've stated already COMPLETELY DROWN OUT THE SOUND OF EVERYTHING. Think noise cancelling headphone style or some shit. I mean these buds go in to your ear, and the rubber piece is the size you want it to be...so maybe if you put a smaller one on you could get that fit you want, and still hear outside noises. I've been out skiing and ski patrol is setting off charges...and I had no clue except for the pulse waves or whatever.

Or try the cx500's....bigger number, they must be better? But yeah the bass response is great. I can't imagine necessarily what more you would want unless you want the bass response to try and be even boomier.

If you are serious about your cans (headphones, earbuds, whatever). There are sites just like newschoolers that are there just for enthusiasts of headphones. Be careful though, before you know it you'll be eye balling a $240 set of headphones, and then looking at spending another $50 for an amplifier for your headphones haha.

Problem is since most of these sites cater to "audio snobs", you won't find these headphones in almost all consumer electronics stores, and obviously they all prefer the better sounding stuff, or aka the more expensive stuff. So you'll be pressured by reviews to spend more, despite the fact that the $20-50 ear-buds are more just right, so what if it doesn't sound like i am in an orchestra.

I have no clue though, maybe skullcandy makes some sick headphones.

Sennheiser has a lot of choices though, no matter what style or budget you are looking for.

Take the ear bud to the opposite ear and wrap it around the top so that the ear bud is upside down.
