The Fate of Skiing Relics

So I have this little dilemma. I have a shitload of old magazines sitting in a closet in the house on my parents' farm that is about to be sold. Hence, everything must be cleaned. I haven't technically lived here for years, and I am about to move to Germany for a couple of years for a Masters. I basically have no where to put them.
As far as I know I have every single issue of Freeze sitting in there minus 1 (possibly 2.) I think I actually have two of the first ones. I also have every issue of Boards in Motion, again, minus 1 I believe. Thirdly I have the first issue of Freeskier and quite a few subsequent ones. Lastly, some of the better Powders from years back.
Shall the fate of these be the recycling bin? Further storage? Ebay?

Oh, same for some of the movies like The Performers, Snowdrifters, State of Mind, Sick Sense etc. I know I'll never watch them again.... so?
I kinda like that archive idea. A central place where the recent history of skiing can be saved. These are some of the very media that basically saved skiing after all.

i had the same dilemma with a pair of K2 Poachers. Although they were such worthless skis that I had no problem junking them. The Performers video and the Poachers were like a false start to newschool skiing. State of Mind and the original 1080 are the relics worth saving.

De-spine them and scan them all, host all of Freeze on the NS servers.

Dude you threw away your Poachers? Damnit. I would've paid shipping at least so they'd end up in a museum or something haha. My buddy Noah had those and I was soooo jealous. A couple years later I got the first edition Enemies. Wish I hadn't traded them for that Oakley jacket to this day.

Sorry man! I had used them as a loaner pair for friends learning to ski, and one of them spray painted a bunch of stencil graphics on them, so they kind of lost all of their historical value. But did you ever ride your friend's poachers? They were 162 cm noodles. That's why the K2 factory freeride team was always skiing on the El Camino instead. It's really a shame that they blew their opportunity to kick-start our sport. They could have just put a tail on the El Camino and it would have been 100 times better. I've already forgotten what the original enemies looked like . . . were they the black ones?

If I wasn't moving into res right now at UBC I would gladly take them off your hands.
You should shoot one of the site admins a PM about it, I'm sure that NS headquarters would gladly house these relics if you were willing to donate them. Seems like a worthy place for them. Possibly in exchange for contributor status? Seems pretty fair to me.
Whatever you do, don't throw them out. If you can't find anything else to do send me a PM and maybe we can work something out. I'd rather not take them because they'll end up in some remote closet again, but better that than recycled.

Do NOT let these just go to the dumpster.
In reality, they should be made available for viewing as a history lesson.

whatever you do keep them together... I mean they are magazines so they probably won't sell for that much on ebay but might if you sell the whole set... or if you're ambitious you could scan them and put them online for all to enjoy and appreciate for yearsto come... if you put them in more storage, chances are you'll never see them again but it's better than throwing them away. (don't do that)

Seriously op, if you feel charitable enough, I'd send the whole package to NS. Then they (an intern, muahaha) can scan all of them, and then we could have an e-history section. Those are the bibles of freeskiing, they should be available to everyone :)

We should start a collection fund for shipping the magazines. It can't cost more than 50 bucks
All times are Eastern (-5)
