What happened to this?
FIRST was really cool, and I was waiting for the second instalment for a while, then just forgot about it. ANyone know the story?

i heard it was really hard to make the movie because it wasn't like they had there own private video shoot it's just video clips other nser send in then some one edits it

wont happen unless someone legit steps up and offers to do it for free. dave was awesome to do it a couple years ago but it must have been a bitch to compile all the footage, from different cameras, different qualities and all that jazz.

but if it was to happen it would indeed be epic

And honestly, I'd be willing to do it, but I would have a few ground rules, obviously, firstly would be a voting method so everyone has a chance to have a say at which clips go into it, secondly would be everything would have to be in HD 720p at least (Dave said if he did a second, this would be a must too, it just makes it easier to format everything). I mean, basically it would be a super edit of the best skiers on NS. I do have my own project going on, but hey, what's another one right?

no thats what i'm saying in my last post, all the footy cant be seen thats why it was so hard to make all the ns kids put there footy up here if your going to use film it can't be seen by anyone

I completely agree with you, I guess I didn't elaborate enough. There would be an edit contest to see who would get in, but that wouldn't be their part, and they'd have to agree to not use the footage they send me, THAT would be the hardest part. The other hard part is, that it would be down to me and my crew to edit everyone's footage, so they'd have to be willing to give up creative license to their footage as well (of course, I'd certainly be willing to listen to their opinion), or they'd have to edit their footage into their own edit, but it would be hard to make them flow together that way.

I didn't say that...I believe I gave a few options there, they could either edit it themselves, or if they don't feel comfortable doing that, then they could send it to me, I'd CERTAINLY be open to others editing - takes some of the work off me.

If they have time and are willing to do it, I have no problem. I'm not saying I have to do anything, but I know people want to see it happen, and it would take someone stepping up to say "I'll do it" to make it happen.

just an idea, maybe a few good editors can plan out the feel they want of the movie, and request certain tricks (ex. you want a seggy of weird grinds, or doubles, or a shot of a 450 disaster on a flat-down rail, ask people to send only those shots), and make a strict quality requirement (that was what looked a little off in the first one). also, the trick picking would help you not have to sort through 1 million kfeds on a flat box. hope that helps at all!
