here i am happily playing ps3, power goes out for a split second, it turns off. i let it sit for a bit, then try to turn it on. boom. i almost cried for the split second i saw the light :(

go on youtube and find a tutorial on how to fix it. my buddy just gave me his broken 360, 30 minutes and $12 later its fixed. just need cables and controller.

Get the new XBOX. Microsoft pretty much fixed red ring. They slimmed everything inside down so it doesn't produce nearly as much heat which is what cause thed RROD in the first place. Go with the 360 homes
