Oh, dang. I forgot Shutter Island was released in 2010, I thought it came out around Christmas.
Ok, for me, definitely between Shutter Island and Inception, but I think I would give the edge to Inception, only just barely.
Oh, and I completely plan on seeing Toy Story 3, I was just in Venezuela for 6 weeks and they only way to watch it down there would be in dubbed Spanish but I wanted to see it in English.
my favortie movie is hot tub time machine or book of eli. The book of eli had the best action seens but during the middle of the movie it was slow and boring at times
but i would say Shutter Island was far better than Inception. i didnt find inception all that "crazy", the plot seemed fairly straight forward and the different layers were easy enough to track. i was under impressed with all the hype and over analysis of the movie.
inception was incredibly straightforward, much against all the reviews claiming its insane complexity I read prior to seeing it.
It supplemented a somewhat decent story line and plot with over the top (cool, but over the top) effects, a backwards twist ending which, having no development at all, leads only to a unsatisfied viewer, and also a very confused looking ellen page.
shutter island had its faults as well, but lets be serious, christopher nolan + dicaprio < scorsese+ dicaprio.
I bet if Shutter Island was in theatres right now and Inception came out 6 months ago, everyone would be raving about it more than Inception. It's all about the latest thing.
I haven't seen any of these fucking movies this year, I have no say in this
...why would it be released in canada before anywhere else?
premier-london, dec 10...2009
release-december 18, 2009
just look up the wikipedia...the title of it is "Avatar (2009 film) And in any case, avatar sucked. I watched pocahontas awhile back, and got the exact same story, only it included the characters singing and wasnt excessively long.
And either way, great news....there's going to be an avatar sequel. So someday when people bring up avatar, all we'll remember is how bad the sequel was and how it ruined the franchise.
and your telling me that when you were sitting in the theatre seat high as fuck and the night seen came up with all the colors and shit that it sucked?
he basically said he wasn't gonna go all out with the sequels or else the 3 films would take 100 years to release...
And first off, i didn't go high as fuck. And yea, the images were impressive, but i'm actually amongst that small group of people who go to movies because we like the stories, characters, and overall like good entertainment. Not just to see pretty pictures flash by.
and the girls i date? Any girl that was completely blown away by avatar is probably the same type who gets live laugh love tattoos, and gets drunk on 2 sips of arbor mist. No, i tend to go for girls who are reasonably intelligent, and don't fulfill every stereotype as shown in the "typical college girls" thread.
Regardless, none of that matters, because you were trying to claim avatar came out in 2010, which it clearly did not.
