What if the EP pros in 166 have a modified side cut and flex to be better for those shorter people who need a shorter ski? Then is it cool? Or do short people not deserve a decent ski?

Point being this: It doesn't really fucking matter. Pros names go on skis to increase sales. If the ski is designed and ridden by them, so much the better. If it comes in two sizes, and one is a scaled down version of the ski actually ridden by the pro, great, short people can get a pro designed ski as well.

Either way, it seems as though you're trying to make this out to be the same type of thing that the 'Salomon Pro Model scam' was, when it's not.

Again, none of this matters at all.

I just wish they'd CALL it something else... 'I ride Eric Pollard's skis!' ...no you don't, you sad, annoying poser. This whole give-all-the-skis-pro-names thing is just asking for skiing to become like snowboarding. And west, I completely believe you, I don't think Line would make them if they sucked.

J.D. its amazing that u care that much....if ur thinkin' that I am riding short skis than ur wrong Im like 5'3 and 110 pounds. Im just looking for a big mountian ski that will work for park on days where i cant ski anything else. I love the idea of smaller skis being made....have u seen how many kids bought the proteens?? I think this move will help line....

its not that big of an issue JD, it comes in two distinct sizes. its still the pollard pro because its different from the skogen/mike nick

the mike nick and skogen on first glance are almost identical skis. Same length, blah blah, but their completely different skis when you actually ride them. So basically anyone who wants the POLLARD ride of the 186 in a 166 can have it, because not everyone wants a 186, but they may like the individual traits of a 166

The more choices the better is what i think. Sure Pollard isnt gonna rock a 166 that often, if ever, but that doesnt mean his name doesnt belong on the ski, and Line wouldnt just do that for cash, cause there are other models in the 160 range.
