Looking For a Good Jib Ski

Im looking for a ski to hit mainly rails with. Ive been looking into Afterbangs because ive been hearing great things about them. Good swing weight, good butter zone, great on rails, etc. Ive been hearing they have really slow bases, get water logged easily, and the topsheet chips majorly. Are these negatives true and if so how much do they actually affect your skiing. Feel free to suggest different skis that would fit my riding style and add on to the negatives list. Oh, and I'm about 5"5 and 120 lbs.

I, personally, wouldnt get the afterbangs. i wasn't a fan when i tried my friends.
instead, i'd look at:
Atomic Punx
Armada THall
Liberty LTE (top choice)
Moment Reno Jib
ON3P Blue Steele (top choice)
Rossignol S4
The Rossignol S4 will be the stiffest ski out of the bunch, softest will be the THall/ Blue Steele/ Punx (they are all medium/ softer flexing skis, but not anything near noodles like Anthems)
And just throwing this in here, dont be afraid of a stiffer ski. Im a small guy just like you, 5 foot 7, 125 pounds and i usually prefer a medium to stiffer ski, but this year i went against my preference and got the ON3P Blue Steele.
Heres some of the reasons why i bought them:
Bamboo aiding in making it light/ poppy
Thickest edges on the market
Medium to softer flex (I wanted to give a softer ski a go this year. I usually like the stiffer ski because they feel way more responsive to them, the softer skis usually feel like a noodle on my foot with absolutely zero pop)
Race Base
Symmetrical
85 waist (the exact width i like for park)
Rocker with Camber mix

I love my afterbangs. The waterlogging issue is false, at least with me. The bases are a little slow but won't be a problem if you're not trying to get speed for 60 footers. They are great for rails and have good pop and responsiveness. Also they are super fun and buttery.
And the the post above me, I've also heard good things about the Blue Steele's.

Pretty much everything you said about the Afterbang is true. They are a great ski, and actually do have very good durability, I beat the living crap out of mine, and they show that. So they are a pretty good idea for a jib ski. Others you can look at are the K2 Press and Volkl Ledge.

This was very helpful. And by trying your friends Afterbangs what was the reason you didnt really like them? Were they soft? because I had Suspects this year and hated them. Im actually looking for a pretty soft ski. But Ill definitely check out the Punx and Blue Steeles.

Oh okay then... I had both ar6s and suspects last year and i liked the suspects better...but for certain reasons like edge hold and jumping. The ar6 was just as good, if not a better jib ski than the suspect.
My impression of the afterbang was that they were just dead. They did everything okay. Not bad, not amazing, just alright. If i had to describe them in two words, it would be boring and heavy. And they didnt seem that soft for me. Nothing like a punx or thall.
Now that i know more of what youre looking for, my tops pick would be:
1. ON3P Blue Steele (Pre sale just ended, so you missed out on that opportunity) Everything you could imagine in a perfect jib ski world.
2. Atomic Punx: Just a SUPER fun, 100% symmetrical, light, buttery jib ski that still has some backbone to handle jumps.
3. Liberty LTE: Bamboo core, light, super poppy, medium flex ski that can really do it all. Jumps, rails, creative bonks. Anything. Plus a 3 year warranty. Only thing that isnt ideal for you (if it even matters) is the flex and the dimensions aren't symmetrical, which im sure is huge preference for your style.

Okay. I need to bug you one last time. Out of these three skis, which ones have the largest edges because I had BIG edge cracking problems with my Suspects. Im missing about 8-9 inches of edge on the inner side of my right ski.

ON3P's have the biggest edges (Them and K2 have the biggest edges on the market right now), then the LTEs, then the Atomics.

this.
the afterbang just cant really be compared against skis that cost twice as much. for what it is, it's a great ski. i rode ar5s and suspects for a season each and loved both of those. but my two words for the abangs would be damp or sluggish. if that's your price range, get abangs over any other price point ski. but if you have a little more cash i would get something else. I just pre-ordered blue steeles (me and piggly seem to have very similiar taste in skis) and cannot be more stoked on my decision. I cant really recommend as I haven't actually ridden it yet. But based purely on how legit rowen and scott are that's where I want my money to be.

Right here. ON3P's and k2's are far superior than any other edges on the market at the moment. If i remeber correctly, k2s are 3.5mm x 1.5mm and ON3P's are 2.5mm x 1.8mm
also, i dont think its the edge armor that screws up salomon skis, i think its the actual edge quality. I think they just used a poor metal or something (i have no clue) but it cant be the edge armor that aids in the actual edge cracking. I can see though how the edge armor would quicken the process of pullout
