I'll start. I generally like mind fuck sort of books, or philosophical novels.
1) Albert Camus - The Stranger. - A wonderful introduction to absurdism. Not all too popular a philosophy, but it is very interesting to read about the exploits of a man who basically believes life is meaningless.
2) Albert Camus - A Happy Death.- Yes, Camus is my favorite author. I highly recommend trying him out if you have not. He tend's to be a little dark, and leaves the reader somewhat unsatisfied, but you will find yourself re-assessing life throughout the whole story.
3)Tom Wolfe - The Electric Kool-Aid Acid test - Amazing literary account of Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters. If you don't know who they are, they were much more than a bunch of hippies. They started a revolution in the youth. Interesting even if you aren't into drugs.
4) Chuck Palahniuk - rant - Wow talk about a fucked up mind fucking story of... fuck, I don't even know.... Read this book, you will NOT be disappointed.
5) Ernest Hemmingway - The Sun Also Rises - Hemmingway captures the essence of passion through a story about Spainish bull fighters. Somewhat hard to describe, but man, a powerful, amazing book.
Thats all I have for now, I might add some more later. Anyway, I'm almost done with my current book, so I'll need some suggestions soon! What do you guys like?
