Replying to So my Dad's just given me free use of his old camera setup..

Da_CONK:
My Dad has just agreed to let me use his old camera gear and from what he has said it is a great setup. It consists of a camera, flash, and two lenses. My problem is the camera is film, I would like to upgrade to a digital camera and still have use of the lenses and flash to cut cost. The camera is a Canon EO5 650, one lens is a 35-70mm the other is a 70-210mm, and the flash is a Speedlite 300EZ. Could you suggest to me a good digital body that isn't to expensive and will work with the lenses and flash? Also is it possible just to buy a camera body with no lens to save cash? If someone could tell me how nice of a setup this is I would appreciate it. (I'm sorry if that sounds arrogant but I do not know much about camera's but would defiantly like to learn). If it helps I'll be photographing wild life to start and then would like to get into skiing once I learn a little. Also I have emailed Canon tech support to but I figured it couldn't hurt to hear a second opinion.

Thanks a lot
