I'm planning on getting vimeo plus so I can upload as many videos as I like because 500mb isnt enough for my avchd files. good idea, worth it? pls reply quick

IMO not worth it unless you want to embed in HD. Other than that, I can put up with the waiting/upload limits. They're reasonable.

it wasn't that I wanted vimeo plus, but I need it. with my avchd files I couldn't upload an edit over 2 minutes, which would totally blow

I'm sure with the right compression/render settings when exporting, you could probably upload an edit a week, without Vimeo Plus. IMO it's not worth it, just scale down your edits a little.

I know AVCHD sucks, but with good compression technique I'm sure you can bring it down. Other people do.

Hey everyone, so you guys are all really savy when it comes to this tech shit, and I need help.

I upgraded to plus (obviously) and I uploaded a slomo vid and you could pratically see pixels...But the slomo isnt a huge deal BUT I then uploaded a raw clip to see how good it plays and what the quality was like, and it glitched and was not good quality and my camera records really good HD. So I was choked but then I realised I could probably fix this with how compression settings or something else. Please tell me if that's what I need to do and how do I go about it. Seriously If you can help me I will be so stoked :) and your karma will go up a significant amount (not that most of you care)

FCE is great just saying and i think that when you export in vegas u can compress it yourself easily... i used it like 2 years ago and dont really remember but i think thats how it works

Ah I misunderstood. I have been looking up videos but I believe there are only two tutorials for vegas 7 and I would use that vimeo comp. guide but It doesn't seem to help me much with Veg7

Ya I read that multiple times, and I even emailed vimeo and they gave me some more info on compression and what settings I should use. I just don't understand how to do it on Veg7. I saw a video on exporting for FCE that hickles showed me. I get FCE either tonight or tomorrow, It looks simple to export on fce but I just need to finish this edit on Vegas
