South Portland (SoPo) is filled with plenty of wiggas. Maine is pretty dope in summer, never gets to hot and the ocean is real nice, especially if you have a boat. I live in Cape Elizabeth which boarder lines SoPo, two completely different places. My favorite spots are in Cape on the coast, The Old Port in Portland is real nice with some great spots to eat. Try Market Street Eats for sandwiches, Flatbreads for pizza, Miyake for sushi, and whole foods is always a treat. Portland is a pretty artsy city, alot of artist and musicians. Its a fun spot, winters can be a little shitty however

I was just up there last week. Freeport is good if you have cash to blow. If you're with a ladyfriend do the portland schooner sunset sail which is pretty fun, it's BYOB and we popped a few bottles of champagne.

The ocean is cold as hell. York is pretty fun but the beach gets absolutely mobbed and the first 10 minutes you are in the water your feet literally hurt until they go numb.

Old orchard beach has an arcade and an amusement park with rides. You can walk around and make fun of people and it is also on the beach. Pine Point like 2 minutes north of OOB is a decent beach and isn't too crowded if you walk a little ways from the parking lot.

If you go like 45 minutes north of portland you can rent jetskis on Long Lake up in Naples. There are boat rentals all over the place too. Stop at the Mosquito in Raymond for the best ice cream ever.

If you go to Freeport get dinner at Gritty McDuffs brew pub and get the sampler of all of their beers. Their maine fried shrimp and burgers are awesome too.

im from the same place a willy up there, and it may be worth coming to for williams and chilling around there for a bit seeing portland headlight, which is in the park, there is other cool shit in for williams too


if you want pizza dont listen to 1337., richetta's or however you spell it is meh, flatbreads is good but on a saturday in the summer have fun waiting for a table, otherwise there is nothing too incredible for pizza but portland is filled with really good restaurants.

its pretty quiet but you can find plenty of stuff to entertain yourself with

Come to the Windham Skatepark if you like skating. I go everyday along with four of five other nsers.

watch out, my old english teacher lives in OOB for the summer, and she has a horrible case of bitch. Anyways, Freeport's cool to walk around, and like someone said L.L. Bean is a cool stop. Big North Face store also.  I dunno about the GoPro in salt water, because salt water usually corrodes stuff, but Id definitely be stoked to see an edit from up there. Have a good time.

L.L. Bean also offers day excursions kayaking and stuff and they have trap shotgun shooting. $20 a round if you use one of their guns or $8/round with your own.

let's do it! The coast in Maine is so pretty during the summer. Definitely go to the Old Port.one of my favorite places. There's tons of good shopping as well as eating. There's portland headlight and Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth which is really pretty and nice to visit. Freeport has a lot of good shopping and some restaurants..(for example Johnny Rockets where I work) Scarbrough beach is nice if you don't want to go to the overcrowded infamous OOB
