What's everyones thoughts on this movie just about female skiers? As a female myself I think it's pretty rad that Grete took the time to do this! Super stoked on it! And the teaser is way sick!

when i pay money for a ski movie i expect to see the highest quality of skiing for it to be worthwhile, don't care if its male or female. this movie will be full of tricks that me and my friends do on the reg in our park, maybe with better cinematography and gnarlier backcountry cause we live in ontario. all the best to grete, but seriously if i wanted to see sketchy sw 7s i could just watch the 14 year olds in the park, and not pay 30 bucks or whatever it is for a dvd of it.

nah man, you people have terrible opinions. that being said i love movies that have a story, that identify why the sport is so special to that person. it makes it interesting and learning about someone else's obstacles or experiences is great for expanding as well. anyways. i wish there were more female films, it's good motivation. i love them too. snowboarder chicks made an all girls film last year, but it was a two part online episode type of thing, and it was really great to see girls hit shit and take some hits as well. i don't think it's fair to say necessarily that it's 100% that women's skiing isn't as advanced as men, i think it's maybe mainly due to there being no exposure, or just simply not filmed. kaya's segment in eye trip was extremely disappointing. on top of it all, look at how you guys treat women and chicks and whatever you want to call them. you treat them like shiiiit, so why the fuck would anyone wanna film with a bunch of obnoxious pricks. women's professional extreme sports in general is a newer concept.

+ i'm sad this premiered at the redbull party and that i showed up half way through or something, and the music played over it i think, so you couldn't even watch it. it was shoved in a tiny corner with limited viewing and seating space.

Women's skiing definitely need some exposure. I mean last season The ESPYs Award for best Female Athlete pretty much came down to Lindsy Vonn and Jen Hudak out of ALL WOMAN'S ACTION SPORTS. Vonn edged out Jen though, :s oh well. Jen will kill it in pipe again this year.

for everyone wanting to see Kaya, just watch Eye Trip instead, pretty sure her shots are the same in both, and damn she slays. as does Keri Herman! but neither of them are in Say My Name very much, at least from my recollection of The Meeting, but then again it is a hazy memory.

She was injured halfway thru the season so wasn't able to make it to park shoots. Kaya is the baddest on the block and thats why we shoot with her. We plan on shooting with as much time she can fit in outside of contest. Next season is on!

i think its ironic that every pink name profile has 'recoving from acl surgery' as their status.

I honestly would like to meet one girl here that hasnt torn their acl skiing.
I have had 3 ACL surgeries.  I am still at it. We may be way behind as far as progression, but cut us some slack.

Saw the movie in Aspen the other weekend. Thought the cinematography/music/skiing was very solid. Got a chance to have a few words with Grete and she was beyond awesome as a person and was SUPER stoked on this project. It's amazing it took so long for something like this to develop for the ladies out there, but better late the never and it was a great crew behind this. Thought the DC segment was unique and probably the highlight of the film for me. Forget how long the film was, but it felt short and I hope future projects involve more women and showcase more big mountain stuff.

I thought it was good. Well worth the 4 bucks to get it off Itunes. Good mix of park and BC/pow, some gnarly lines. I'd recommend it for sure, especially for 4 bucks in HD.

skiing is a male-dominated sport so i think we get a bit intimidated/insecure when we see chicks that are better than us make a movie...it's the truth

female skiers are sexy so i will prolly buy this movie

so i was stoked for this to come out and bought it on itunes yesterday.. needless to say i was a little disappointed. i hate saying this because im a big advocate of progressing womens skiing but i found most of it to be cheesy, for lack of a better word. lynsey dyer kills it as usual, same with kaya. but the wanna be gangsterness, music, editing, voice overs, and some of the skiing was just boring, average, a little sketchy, dumb(part in dc??).. the editing drove me crazy. makes me thankful for the small parts some women have in the big name ski movies cause they crush it! but i applaud grete for coming out with the first all women ski movie.

That's exactly what i thought, but the dc stuff was kinda cool. A bit of cheese tho with photoshoots....didn't get that. But its still cool to see the girls u look up to in movies.

I just watched it.. gotta agree with em* though i was a bit disappointed too but for different reasons...

Before i watched the film i got the impression that it was supposed to be about female skiers- which it was.. But it was 95% focused on Grete. Thats cool and all but i really was expecting to see more of i diversity of people. And not just a shot or two of Sarah, Kaya, Keri, and Anna ect. It would have also been nice to see them talk too about their skiing, not just Grete. The photo shoots were kinda out of place, and i wasn't fond of the music. Needless to say, I am still stoked that she put this together. Its definitely a good start!
