Blue Scholars NEW album: Cinemetropolis announced. (2010 release)
Right after our set on the Capitol Hill Block Party mainstage, we hit the sweaty Caffè Vita Bean Room where Larry Mizell, Jr. (pictured above, cheesin’) was hosting a live CHBP edition of Street Sounds. We previewed of four new songs and unveiled the title of our upcoming third full-length album:Cinemetropolis. Videos, courtesy of KEXP

This is fucking epic in my eyes. Blue Scholars are about as good as hip-hop gets.
And yea media and arts i know, but sadly its dying, so more people'll see this here.
Man I'm gonna get hate but i'm gonna be THAT guy. i didn't like oof at all. the beats were pretty lame and corny. and that guys voice just bugs the shit out of me. at least it seems like he's got alot better flow now. (only listened to the first song.) but i doubt i'll like this much more.
i dunno what it is about the blue scholars. you guys seem to love them, and i'm definitely a fan, but they just seem to have the same style in EVERY song! the blue scholars are some of the first hip hop that i listened to. growing up in seattle, i listened to the blue scholars a lot. the blue scholars arguably shaped the present seattle hip-hop scene and helped out with the "conscious movement" but for some reason they just seem so..... bleak.
i like sabzi and geo, but for some reason i'm just not a huge fan of the music they produce.
feel free to disagree
Bayani and their self titled album were both awesome, id check those. Freewheelin, blink, bruise brothers, no rest for the weary are all good songs off their first album. And theres a bunch of good ones off bayani too.
i might actually purchase this album...it's been a while since I supported hip-hop monetarily and they would be a good group to support, close to home and underground!
Bump for a dope group...and the fact that the album comes out TOMORROW. (if you donated and recieved the link for the pre-release download) but it'll be up online im sure
Just have to bump this one last time now that the album dropped. The title track...One of my personal favorites from the album, but honestly, the entire thing is equally amazing. EVERY SINGLE SONG. And its pretty different from Blue Scholars old stuff, but in a GREAT way.
DUDE EVERYONE FUCK YEAH, THAT DAY IS GONNA BE FUCKING GREAT, BLUE SCHOLARS ALBUM, SENIOR BALL, AND 18th BIRTHDAY IN ONE DAY, CAN'T WAIT IT IS GONNA FUCKING RULE MOTHERFUCKERS
