A huge ass explosion just blew up an entire building massive 50 feet flames billowing smoke article and pics coming shortly. But its fucking nuts. Check http://castanet.net for updates all it says is major inferno. BUT THIS SHIT IS HUGE LOUD AND NOISY

I probly shouldn't have made a hype thread on something that effects very few members of this site. But watching this shit from my roof just seemed crazy. But on a sad note a ski shop burned down, only FT dealer in town.

considering I live like 10 km away it was big just hearing booms and seeing the fire flare up. It was mainly an office building with stores in the bottom so my best guess would be gas leak.

Kelowna Fire Department crews are on the scene of a large fire which has engulfed a portion of the Stewart Centre on Kirschner Road.

The blaze has forced closure of both Harvey Avenue and Springfield Road between Burtch and Spall.

The fire broke out at about 9:45 Saturday evening.

It began with what appeared to be several small explosions and quickly grew.

A large wall of flames climbed several metres into the air and thick, black smoke filled the night air.

People as far away as East Kelowna say they felt several explosions.

Firefighters from several hall in Kelowna were called to help with the blaze.

Firefighters on the scene say they had hooked up to as many as six hydrants in an effort to get enough water to battle the inferno.

Tile and Stone, a flooring company appeared to be completely destroyed.

More details when they become available.
