and the east high transfer is almost mandatory, which is wild. That rail has only been hit a few times. LJ is insane... and so it witt.

Is this A joke? I strongly dissagree with your option to go the route of Eye Trip Trailer. I think that Zero Spin was ill but Stadacone by ESK Media really shows the determination most of us have to push the sport and get good, even if it means coming from a place with little or no snow. Or now good mountains.

no you dont see those tricks in every edit but rail transfers are standard now in every ski movie ( not edit) and the 270 disasters are also pretty common. my point is that they have much better shots to put in the trailers but they dont put them. Instead they put less crazy shots and drown them with filler. how many movies have you seen with a rail transfer? every movie has them and on more complicated rails. I find it sick to watch but its not trailer worthy since you have to blow people away in a trailer. how many hip boosts have you seen? way too many, and big disasters are commun practice now, its nothing breath taking when you know that these guys are doing some crazy innovative shit. In other trailers there have been some innovative shots, just think of statacone, an amature movie has a more banger shot in it with a butter 4 into a handrail. you know a lot of these pros in 4bi9 are doing crazyer stuff but none of it is in there.

I forget which edit its in but tom sais 270s are so last year and he does a 450 in right before a kink, locks it and stomps it. thats just in an edit... they have better shots than that

thanks, my bad then it wasnt an edit but still, that shot is much stronger for a few reasons. you cant see that its a quad kink in this trailer it just looks like a down flat down. you clearly see the trick 4 in. there is more difficulty to land a 4 in with a flat comming at you right away. anyways all im saying is that they have better shots and they should show those instead of showing some editing

thats not how advertising works... you have to show the best to get people amazed and willing to buy it... and Im sure they have more than enough to suprise you. I wouldnt buy this movie, it hasnt impressed me at all even though I know the guys just slay it.

I Trip is still my favorite trailor, but this is amazing. 4bi9 is in my opinion the third best filming company. Not bad for a bunch of college kids.

In the defense of both of the mentioned tricks, the transfer isn't a standard rail. That rail is SLC and there's a reason you've not really seen it in any movies. It's one of the sketchiest rails I've ever seen. the 2 on was a 4 kink... especially tight because it's been in 50 movies, but i've never seen anyone disaster it or even spin on.

Everyone has an opinion, and there's no such thing as a wrong opinion, but in defense of those riders and why those particular shots made it into the trailer... they're both wild.

I promise you many of the shots in PBP's teaser (and I imagine many other teasers too) wont actually be in the movie since many resulted in a fall.  Maybe AJ is just making his teaser with usable shots; a very noble honest thing to do when making a teaser...

Yea AJ and Steen killing it. Filming was amazing this year and the jibs and trickery was sick as well. And Wallischs 270 disaster on the quad at the end is rediculous. Cant wait to see the movie.

You also need to take into account that 4bi9 is still amateur, sure they won best am movie two years ago, but they barely get any more support than they did when they won. Most he people in 4bi9s movies dont make a living from skiing, its not their job. They do it for the love of the sport and AJ, napes and kevin all do it for the love of skiing and filmmaking. Now sure, level 1 and poorboys do too but comparing 4bi9 to them is unfair because level1/pbp are stacked with super pros and hundreds of thousands of dollars of budget while 4bi9 had a couple real
"pros" and very small fraction of the budget. Get learned you idiot.

I completely agree with everything you said here except level1's budget. I'm pretty sure level1 isn't working with hundreds of thousands of dollars. I think i read somewhere that either turbo or refresh was only a 100,000 dollar budget. i could be wrong though, just seems like "hundreds of thousands is a stretch".

first off I dont hate the group, I actualy love 4bi9 and a lot of crazy skiers came out of it. Im not insulting the movie or how the guys ride im criticizing the editing choices. comparing them to pros is the right way to aproach them for the trailer. Tom and LJ alone can throw down harder than anyone in any pro movie ( in my eyes) I am just wondering where are all the shots of all the crazy shit they did this year. LJ was doing rail transfers with switch ups last year, I can only imagine what he did this year. but its not in the trailer... instead they rely on good editing to blow us away. dont get me wrong the editing was sick but come on the skiing in the trailer didnt represent the crazyness that we are going to see in the movie. I know they make a lot less money than level one and all the big boys but money isnt that big of a factor to make a sick trailer. look at statacone... the guys are little quebec boys doing this while going to school and have no pros or known names but their trailer was hype!why? they showed the right shots that create a reaction. I just feel like this trailer was like what we see in hollywood these days. CGI to mask the fact that there is no content in the movie. I know the movie isnt going to be that at all, its going to be all banger as always, but the trailer was fancy effects instead of content and that is why my general impression was bad.

sure I dont know that much about pros and probably cant pick them out of a crowd but the fact that I didnt remember the exact video a trick was from doesnt counter my arguments.

and about JF houle and statacone, I was mostly talking about the film having no pros ( now I know its next to no pros) the trailer had a lot of bangers and that was the one that stood out.it doesnt take away from the fact that its full of bangers done by unknowns
