Anyone else enjoy good beer.  There's a time and a place for pounding back Natty and PBR for sure but im talkin' goooooood beer.

I got bomber of Southern Tier Un-Earthly waiting for me at home and my mouth is watering.

So does a brewer still qualify as a craft brewer if they get purchased by a major conglomerate? Odds are production won't change, but can it still be considered a craft brewer under those circumstances?

Ok Spotted Cow is SO good. A friend had his mom ship him some, since you can only get it from WI...I was totally surprised. Good stuff there.

Thank YOU! I was wondering where the hell some wisconsin beers were in here.  Spotted cow is by far my favorite brew.  Fat Squirrel is pretty good as well.  Also, the Ale Asylum and the Great Dane in Madison make some really good beers.

In my opinion, yes. they still do

Red hook is 25% owned by A.Busch... yet, the quality is just the same as it's ever been.

If Busch told them to water it down a bit to save money or something, it would be like VW/Audi forcing Lamborghini to make a hybrid...

I like dark beers, and Old Rasputin is not good.9% alcohol in a beer tastes quite weird, Fat Weasel Ale at 7% is a much superior choice. They sell both at Trader Joes.

There is plenty of love for deschutes... Mirror Pond is one of my fave Pale Ales, right up there with SNPA...  I drink a LOT of it.

I'm in Eastern Europe right now (ex-Soviet Union), and there are all these wonderful brews that are not exported to the U.S., or at least are pretty hard to find outside of their 'home' countries.

So I'll issue a report on that sometime soon.

I'm also a Deschutes lover, the brewpub is also a great place to hang out in Bend.

have you ever had sweetwater?

its not even close to budweiser.

420 is not even near the best beer from sweetwater.

The IPA is awesome. Festive Ale is even better. 420 Is behind those, road trip, georgia brown, maybe a couple others.


Anyone ever had beer from St. Arnolds in texas? Their IPA is pretty good.

as of right now there are 30 breweries in Portland alone.. and then around the state at least 10 - 20 more..  in brewery to people ratio Vermont wins.. but if you want a real beer and not pay sales tax on it come to Oregon.. where the beer is better and so is our chronic!

god that stuff is good.. spendy in the 22 though but at 9abv it is a kick  in the pants.   theres a place that sells it in sellwood(portland) for 3,25 a pint..
