alright, so i need a technical jacket for this winter and winters to come.
I'm on 3point5, so i get some sick deals which is always great so im looking at some nice jackets.
First Jacket: Helly Hansen Odin http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Helly-Hansen-Odin-Mountain-Jacket-Mens/HYH0340M.html#review_200064773
Its the cheapest by about $100, but it seems to be pretty short in length, less fancy, and its not gortex, its just the helly hansen material.
then next two are both Arc'teryx
The Sidewinder SV - http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Arcteryx-Sidewinder-SV-Jacket-Mens/ARC0008M.html
The Stinger - http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Arcteryx-Stinger-Jacket-Mens/ARC0517M.html
these are both the same price, and $100 more than the HH Odin.
so here's the thing, i know the arcteryx jackets are great jackets, but which one would be better?
Im sure the Odin is a good jacket, but how does it compare? hows the length? hows the technology compared to the gortex? i mean if its just as good or close to good, i would rather save $100.
and im skiing mostly on the east coast, a little west coast. cold temps, nasty weather really. everything
