not to be ignorant or anything, but i will be dead before there are any long term effects, and i think its interesting to watch humans destroy the planet. maybe in like 60 years (assuming 2012 doesnt happen) it will be a complete wasteland...

i dont plan on having kids.

i understand that it's really nothing in comparison to the Deepwater Horizon, and i pray to god that nothing comes of this and it really is patched up really quickly, but it makes me pretty worried at what appears to be a lack of concern and safety standards surrounding the entire oil industry.
