"Hip-hop star Wyclef Jean will run for the presidency of Haiti, reports say.
The multi-platinum artist and producer, who emigrated from the Caribbean nation to the United States as a child, is set to announce his candidacy for the November 28 Haitian election, Canadian newspaper Le Droit reports.
Jean, 37, has been a public face for fundraising efforts to help the impoverished nation rebound from January's devastating earthquake."
Thoughts? I never think popular stars running for a political office is a good idea, but he has done a ton of work towards raising money for relief efforts.
