i work for them, so i suppose i'm a bit of a fan. I can't say i'm a huge fan of baseball in general though. Too long and boring for me. But you better believe a weight had been lifted off my chest in 04...

security. Everyone thinks we work for Fenway park, but we are actually just about the only non-club personnel who don't travel. So we just happen to always work in fenway park. End of the day though, when my paychecks come, they are from the red sox.

Who are they even playing?

This weekend should be a good one. Weather's looking good. Only downside is that i fucking hate 4:00pm games, and sunday afternoon games usually just lead to old and fat people getting sick.

pretty sick connection with the 3rd base coach though, i'd bet he can probably get people tickets pretty easily.

I cant wait until we get some of our starts back. We just got Beckett back and Ellsbury is on the way as well as Pedroia. Poor Varitek though :'(

yea, thanks everyone who's ever purchased tickets and/or any red sox apparel....you help pay me.

and interestingly enough, apart from my issued-uniform, i don't own a single red sox related item. Not even a hat.

look i don't know personally but my good friends uncle is a sox fan that lives in nyc. he says when he goes to yankee-sox games, people just give him a hard time. he says that sox fans at fenway have thrown beers at yankee fans. just from my stand-point, sox fans seem to be a little butt-hurt about the number of championships they've had in the last 100 years. but i was born in new york and grew up going to yankee games. i've been a fan all my life and like any other fan i'm amped about their win last season. if you win, you get bragging rights. i listened to sox fans give me shit the past years and it's all good that's just how it is haha

oh im just giving you crap, i dislike the yankees like any other bostonian, but at work i generally just hate everyone causing trouble, regardless of team.

I've seen the sox play in yankee stadium, and the yankees play at fenway (many times) and i've seen beers tossed, and insults yelled at both. Yankees fans in new york are a lot more tame, simply because there's more of them. In boston though, it seems like they feel obligated to make it known to all 4000 people in the bleachers that they are yankees fans, and therefore superior, which is why we have problems. I think sox fans, while sober at least, are a little bit more timid and not as willing to stir up trouble.

just my own reflections though. Doesn't represent everyone of course. There's always gonna be bad apples.

yea i've always thought the rivalry was intense but fans can take it too far. i just enjoy going to a salt lake bees game now and again haha much more chill and easier to get drunk at.

I was at the Boston vs Texas game a week or two ago, had the first row of seats behind the red sox dugout (got some autographs) . The game where YOUK hit the walk off in the 11th. OH BTW IM A YANKEES FAN :)
