Auto insurance for a 16 year old?

I simply cant afford 8,500 a year for auto insurance, wheres the cheapest insurance i can get just to get me on the road

i payed under $3000 a year on my own plan when i turned 16.

check geico, all state, progressive and all those other TV commercial insurances. The whole saying "We'll keep you legal for less" pretty much is saying they will give you insurance with extremely little coverage for very reasonalble price just so you can drive legally

no way that's possible. that's like $700 a month. go get a quote from a company, not online or some shit.

although you can't gauge what two different people pay for insurance, i pay $150 a month full coverage on a sports car and i'm 18...so something is up with your quote there man.

No problem, I don't mind walking. I'll walk 25 miles in a day just for the fun of it. And surely, if I wanted a ride, the next guy down the road (at least one of them) wouldn't mind giving me a ride. I seem to always get rides when I need them..

i am under my rents insurance and thats what mine is right now. just don't get in to a wreck or get pulled over because it triples the price instantly. but if you have nothing on your record then your getting fucked over with that price.

I have heard the term tread lightly even though I'm a "city-slicker" (I've climbed many of Colorado's 14ers and I fish almost every week of the summer).

And I'm sure you tread really lightly when you drive through a forest in a fucking pickup truck. I bet you don't leave a trace.

I live in LA and I drive a mustang and I am 17, I am no where close to 8500, good grades > 3.0 and parents insurance, (IMO best insurance is state farm)
