A little help..

Hey just looking for some advice on skis to pick up for the coming season in whistler, i'm 22 , 6' 1" weighing about 170, have skied carvers/race skis for years then moved over to using park skis (1080's/scratches) for the past few years with the odd few weeks on powder skis, all from hire or mates. Looking to finally break the credit card in and just wanted some advice to send me in the right direction. I ski 50/50 park'n'pow and want a lively ski to handle it all as best as possible. Have narrowed it down to:

Moment Reno rockers
K2 extremes - standard i know!
line prophets
Salomon shoguns
ARV

or thinking about the JJ and just picking up some second hand park skis somewhere along the line!

At the mo i'm aiming at the prophets or shoguns but willing to listen to any other suggestions, any advice or reviews would be great. I just want the best ski not the latest trend. cheers!!

Not on your list, but the ON3P J-mo would be pretty good for 50/50 park pow.
96 underfoot, rocker, and normal camber.

look into some all mountain ski from last year...., that easily saves you 50% against a 2011 model....
a skis that comes to mind when i hear 50/50 park/pow would be k2 kung fujas with marker schizo bindings

I would recommend the blends over the prophets. Don't get me wrong, I love how the prophet skis, just my prophet 100s are pretty beat up with just half a season on them... I think the blends may hold up better.

I'll agree with the blends over the prophets, vertical sidewall and thicker edge for better park durability, and a little softer more playful flex.

also agree with the 2010 model, check the blend, kung fujas, and the jeronimo. three killer skis.

cheers for the info guys, like the look of the ON3P's but looks like it's tough getting them in europe for now so think i'm gonna head for the blends or fujas with schizo's. whichever comes in the best deal!

JJ + used park skis.
This would be by far your best setup.

JJ's can handle everything out of the park
Park skis handle... well the park.

yeah, i live in europe as well and if i didn't have to pay the ridiculous shipping/import costs i'd probably have had some caylors right now, but instead i got some 2010 EP pros for cheap in my local shop :)
