Tahoe and/or Jackson...

heard kings beach is pretty cheap and has plenty around to do

i've been looking at housing for the season after this and there's little houses with bed and kitchen ranging to large houses for 8-10 people

plenty of variety

I've always wanted live in both places... I'm Canadian though, so the logistics of doing a season down in the states just isn't worth the effort. From what I've looked into, I'd say Tahoe would be the "easier" of the two. rent/ski pass/cost of living seams cheeper in Tahoe (of course that's probably all depending on where in Tahoe you want/choose to live. Combine that with the selection of ski resorts in the area, the fact that they have been getting some pretty decent snow years of the past decade (or so), and has more tourists and just all around more people in and out would leave me to believe that there are WAY more opportunities for finding a job that fits....

North Lake. Like 10-15 minutes from Northstar and 20-25 from Squaw/Alpine.

Tahoe is the shit...Live there

real estate in jackson is mad expensive.  Teton Country Wy is one of the wealthiest counties in the US.  most people who work in or around jackson live out side of town in either wilson or driggs idaho.  Grand Targahee is in Driggs, which i've heard gets better powder than jackson mt resort, but has less vertical.  I've never been to Tahoe but I would think it would be easier and cheaper to be a ski bum there than jackson.
