Serious Mod options.

Everybody knows it. We are in need of a new mod.
1. Someone who wont go ape shit with the ban hammer
2. Someone who frequently logs on. (notice how no mods are on)
3. Will keep forums clean.
4. Anything else you can think of...

Post members you think will be a good mod and post why.

my vote is for Bigger_Spence.(El.Gato) personally because i see him on ns a lot, especially late nite which is when trolls come out. And i dont see him taking advantage of the responsibilities of being a mod. post members who you think fit the job.

I dont know if anyone's saying this is dire straights... it's just now is coming into the height of the NS 'bullshit' season, and adding 2-3 mods would probably not be a bad thing by any stretch.

That said, yep. Mods have always done a pretty killer job on NS. There are very few times that none are on, and when they aren't, i'm completely surprised by it...

I'm happy with the work they do, and instead of throwing your vote in for moderator, why not help em out and message them when a bad thread's being bumped, or when someone's continually making bad topics.

instead of adding more moderators, let's just help the ones who are already here...

1. Everyone has to stop complaining about NSG being stupid/mods not doing a good job
2. When you see a stupid thread, ignore it, don't post in it.
3. When you see a smart thread, post a smart comment that sparks discussion.

This strategy will only work if EVERY member follows it though, so let's do it. When the trolls see that they're not getting a reaction, they'll give up.

why do people seem to think high number of posts=good member?

Just because you post 6,000 times in 4 months doesn't mean you're a good member. If anything, it might mean the opposite.

I'd rather have a mod who's been around for awhile, and has some idea of what generally does well on ns and what doesn't than someone who's been here a year, but posts in every useless thread.

This. I know I post a ton but I like to think that I'm not a COMPLETE disgrace to this website. If they were considering adding mods I would rather have a member that has seniority over most other members. Obviosly mods and admins wouldnt be posting random bull (aside from the stray donkey fucking thread) and maybe that could help set a better example. You know how impressionable newschoolers is.
