Everybody knows it. We are in need of a new mod.
1. Someone who wont go ape shit with the ban hammer
2. Someone who frequently logs on. (notice how no mods are on)
3. Will keep forums clean.
4. Anything else you can think of...

Post members you think will be a good mod and post why.

my vote is for Bigger_Spence.(El.Gato) personally because i see him on ns a lot, especially late nite which is when trolls come out. And i dont see him taking advantage of the responsibilities of being a mod. post members who you think fit the job.

I wish we could get a few more mods on the site, god knows NS has gone to shit in the past few years and keeps getting worse. NSG is so bad these days and the worst part about it is all the shit that goes on in here is starting to carry over into the other forums. The mods we have right now do as well as they can and I am grateful for what they do, but they just don't have enough people to keep up with all the shit that goes on.

I don't think it's really necessary.

If I were a mod, I don't think money would be an incentive to log on more. I log on because I love skiing, and want to see the ski community, online or otherwise, flourish. Also, since the only time I'm not on NS is when I'm asleep, I physically couldn't be on any more.

But in the old threads that continually get bumped, there are mods who've posted who never come on anymore. It's the cycle of life. As some mods stop coming on, they get replaced by new people

Jodi and Ashley do a great job, but there needs to be more. NS has expanded at such a massive rate this last few months.

I don't think anyone is... it's just everyone is agreement that there needs to be 2 or 3 more and those 2 or 3 more need to be people that are in NSG a fair amount NOW and are willing to deal with the shit in hear to try and push back the tide that is entering the other forums.

Regardless of popularity, mods need concision and good judgment skills. I don't think any of us have quite gotten to the point of consistent moderation in our OWN posts to warrant governing others'. And besides, we have no criteria, no guidelines, and inconsistent models. It's probably just whomever Bishop feels would be an asset to the team.
