Toughest skis?

Hello newschoolers, im looking to buy a new pair of skis for this upcoming season. I am looking to buy a ski that is very durable and will last a long time. I would also like it keep my price under $400. If anyone could give me some help that would be great. thanks!

They fixed that this year (well, they appear to have?). The topsheets have a beveled edge on them that seems to work really well in stopping them falling apart. IMO it looks a little bit weird but it's better than having your topsheet looking like you hacked at it with a giant cheese grater.
