You want to practice editing? Go shoot anything. absolutely anything and try to make a story out of it.

Honestly, i don't think its worth editing other peoples footage. The way to get better at editing is shooting your own shots. The editing process isn't just on you computer, it start with what you shoot and how you shoot it.

I agree. Even though I'm not an amazing cameraman b any standard, when I do shoot, I sually have the whole edit, the angles, song, editting, visualised in my head before hand.
Although editing other peoples' stuff could be fun, a chance to interpret other peoples' work in your own way?
