Hockey Stick Help

Hey NS hockey players!

I just have a quick question. I''m taking up hockey this fall and hope to play it for the next couple years in college (intramural hockey). Im a very good skater but have little knowledge of good hockey sticks. Whats a good, affordable, durable hockey stick for someone starting to play hockey?

There is many price point one piece sticks out there. Go and try them in the store, some stores even have a shooting lane to try them.

I have a CCM Joe Thorton hockey stick i got 2 years back, havnt had any snaps with it yet. CCM makes really good, durable sticks.

you should probably be looking for a senior flex stick.
every brand makes them: easton, warrior, ccm, bauer etc.
those will be about $60-100 depending on what stick and what brand, but you won't need the absolute top of the line stick.
there's also nothing wrong with a sherwood 50-30. classic wood stick.

yeah easton ST is really good, idk i'm not current on sticks but i've always had really good luck with easton and bauer sticks. i've broken lots of ccm and tps sticks but easton seems to hold up well for me. i'm a fan of the lindros curve for bauer and i'm not current on the easton curves but i used to fuck shit up with my Yzerman curve a while back

Can't beat a good 'ol Sherwood when it comes to price and performance. They usually cost like $24.00. I have been using them for years.

i know a lot of defenders who rock wooden sticks but not many forwards who use them

I've been thinking this for a while
and a hockey stick thread is close enough to a hockey stick thread itself.
I've dated a lot of hockey players from my school and all of them have really small dicks compared to the football players. Also theyre generally smaller and can't handle me as well if you know what i mean. I'm from cali, so is it just where i'm from or are most hockey players a little smaller?

rbk sticks are awful
the only stick i buy now is warrior i have 3 of them now and i love em
also easton isnt bad but you have to get one of their good ones
their shit ones are heavy and shitty, youd be better off playing with a branch

Depends on price range but bauer sticks ar very duriable and light. Like the vapor 40.

i use the bauer x60, buts thats probably out of your price range. try to pick up an old bauer supreme 195, or even 190. great sticks, durable, just solid in general. bauer is def the way to go, if not that, then easton se16, or ST.

he said afforadable. as far as durability goes anything from the major brands, reebok, nike bauer easton should be fine. bottom line is your sticks are gonna break doesnt matter how much you payed for em. last year i broke two vapor 40s before christmas then had an 8k for the rest of the year. its random

it's crazy how much sticks have changed. i stopped playing 4 years ago and synergys were the hot shit, rubber sticks had just kind of dipped out. Went to the hockey store a while ago and it's crazy how light sticks are now. And i asked the guy for a wooden stick and he said he didnt have any.

Get a S17. Oh shit u said affordable.... Get a RBK snake skin. Durable good flex all around good stick. It's also a two piece so if u break blades it's easy to replace. Don't get warrior. They aren't durable at all.
