Kind of what binding/fks 140s?

So i am in the process of buying bindings for next year. I bought 171 pipe cleaners as my park skis and im seriously considering buying the rossi fks 140s. My budget is like $250. I have jesters on my other skis and i love them but they are a little overpriced imo and a little heavy for park skis. I am an aggressive park skier i guess and i broke a pair of bindings this past season so im worried about durability...
so now to the main point of the thread. I have heard a lot of good things about the fks 140's but a few people have mentioned issues with the plastic toepiece. how big of a problem is this? I dont have the money/im not heavy enough to upgrade to the 180's (i weigh ~160 lbs and im 5'9" and 16 years old). Will these bindings last me through a couple of seasons? and if not what better bindings would you recommend?

Go to the BST and find some FKS 155s, they are pretty much 100% metal, but still pretty lightweight. People have a saying "If a nuclear bomb went off two things would survive, cockroaches and FKS 155s" which have actually given the binding the nickname "roaches". Also, you could look for Salomon s916s (I've been looking for a pair for a while, they're also one of the most bombproof bindings ever).
I had the Pivot 14 last year, and they were dope, I did have an issue with the toe piece, but rossi warranted it with no problem. If I can't find some s916s most likely I'll have the FKS 140s on my Domains.

thats an option i was considering too but honestly i find buying anything beyond goggles or outerwear off the internet to be kinda sketchy so im kinda looking for something new. but thats not out of the question yet...
oh and the bindings i broke were shitty salomon z10 tis so im not that that worried about it but i was just wondering how big of a deal it really was

i keep seeing you suggest these, but there is one real issue with that
916s are a VERY STRONG binding, in the sense that a 12 din on them would be equal to a 14 on sth16s. This making them overkill for most ns kids/park kids. PLus they are very heavy, which alot of kids dont want. fks are a much more logical choice for park skis, or sth16s, but I would never recommend 916s for a park ski

FKS 140 is only about 1050g (2.3lbs or so), and is much more binding than a Jester, with very little weight gain. The 155/180 are only slightly heavier, and they're solid metal.
I agree with mrstskier.

I hear ya, I used to rock them in the park, but then again personally I don't care about binding weight. I'll be sure to be more specific with that suggestion in the future, cause you're right, after you reminded me why I stopped rinding them in the park (almost blew my MCL cause they were set too high).

I think i am going to go with the 140s. I am uncomfortable buying used bindings off here haha and im under the impression that they are still good bindings.

Great choice, but don't be afraid to buy off of here or TGR. There really isn't any chance of getting scammed, check seller feedback on a member to see what they're about. If you do get scammed, post a callout in BST, you'll get your stuff.
Have a great season with your new bindings!
