Fuel tv picked up winter of wells

Looks like Fuel is finally taking skiing seriously...

First we got Wallisch on Firsthand, now Jossi got Winter of Wells picked up by Fuel

I think the reason theyre picking WOW up over TC is that Jossi is legit one of the biggest superstars over in New Zealand, so his name will spark more interest than Andy and Will's would.

But words can't expressed how stoked I am about this.

it really is strange how mainstream wise, freestlye skiing doesn't get all that much recognition up until this point...i mean most parks you go to, it's usually like 60% skeirs and 40% snowboarders...and the 60% of skiers does not include the dad with his 3 kids standing on the lips and getting in everyones way...just strange how on the mountain, skiing dominates but yet snowboarding is still getting all of the shows and video games...maybe this is finally the turning point, and skiers will start making some good money like boarders do

yeah there are definately some mountains untouched by skiing really, but you are right in most places your seeing skiers increasingly more often than snowboarders. Especially at the big resorts like Breck, PC, Mammoth. With the likeliness of halfpipe skiing being in the 2014 olympics i think were only going to get exponentially more coverage and exposure, but of course along with this we lose a lot of the things we love about our sport.

i totally agree....like now when you see someone wearing an Armada hoodie at school or something, you know that kid probably skis park and all....when you see someone wearing a Burton hoodie, you just assume that kid probably bought his hoodie at TJ maxx or something....at the same time, top skiers deff deserve to make good money like the top snowboarders considering that they throw down harder most of the time

Its probably good that they didnt pick up chug life, because if the did it would get edited so much for tv, and i think there would be more skiing in chug life which i dont think would make the show better. but now im stoked to have fuel tv.

I feel like this is a good start for skiing on television, i mean tc would be sick but i feel like it should be introduced to the masses after a show like winter of wells was. This because winter of wells gives a grasp of wat skiing is about and than tc would show a less main stream view.

Yeah i agree tc is cool and all but i mean they larped do you really want people thinking thats what skiing is about?

But i think it really came down to jossi already being on tv and having mad sponsers.

Just what I need to get more stoked, its great to see that people will see the park side of skiing and not just guys bombing AK straight lines and the like. Most people outside of our sport think extreme skiing is just heli, and backcountry with the media exposure its had for years, hopefully this will change that.
